Northeast Middle School LEGO Project

Donation protected
This is going to be a huge, costly project. Hopefully it will be both fun and educational for the kids. We won't be able to do it without the community's help.

The students of NEMS (Reading School District) and I started planning this project at the beginning of 2019. We worked together in learning the LDD (LEGO Digital Designer) computer program used to design the school and had hands on LEGO build time.

The computer model of the school took about a month to design. We have started the build, but the bricks are expensive and school does not have a budget for the project.

Right now, I am footing the entire project. Buying all the needed bricks from LEGO on my own or using LEGO pieces from my own collection.  The digital design is completed and roughly estimates the build to be nearly 7500 LEGO parts! Already, I see that number rising from the small amount we have completed with the physical build.

I have donated my design time, classroom time and building time, but we will need your support for the costs of the physical bricks.

You can follow the build progress over on the public facebook page:

Once completed the LEGO school will be donated to Northeast Middle School for them to display within NEMS.
