Step One: Transition Fund - Northeast Regional Peace Palace Project

Creating a home for Maharishi Mahesh Yogi's Transcendental Meditation, TM Retreats, and Advanced Programs in the Northeast USA.

We are at a crux. For several years our national and international organizations have been carrying the property destined to be the home of TM Advanced programs in the Northeast while we arranged zoning and other details. Now they want the local region to takeover the responsibility for the land and begin manifesting the project.

What this means now, is that we need to pay the carrying costs for this year - which amounts basically to the taxes and some maintenance (snow removal, mowing, etc.) We would also like to clear a portion of the land to facilitate planning and showing the property to supporters, engineers, builders, etc.

We are looking  to raise the rest of the $19,500 for which we started this campaign in May. Between this and direct donations, we raised enough to take care of the immediate needs then but we need to fulfill this immediate goal and get some breathing room to begin planning for the project. Then we will initiate a major capital campaign to accomplish building the facility.

If we can't perform on this now, the organization will investigate selling the property. So we are feeling the pressure to perform. All funds go to the Brahmananda Saraswati Foundation which is the TM movement organization that holds the property. Donations are fully tax exempt.
