Northernmost Point of Lake Michigan Marker
Top of the Lake Communities Association (TOLCA) is completing a sculptural marker that will stand at the Garfield Township Marina in Naubinway to mark the area's distinction as the most northern point of Lake Michigan.
With this marker, Naubinway claims its spot at the top of Lake Michigan as a point of pride and a way to celebrate our long history as a fishing village. It will be a detour-worthy diversion for travelers along the US-2 Top of the Lake Scenic Byway.
The project has received a mini-grant from Michigan Council for Arts & Cultural Affairs, a grant from the Graymont Community and Economic Fund, and donations from Cloverland Electric Cooperative and individuals. Won't you join in this support?
Current and past residents---full-time and seasonal---visitors, businesses and other organizations are invited to be a part of this project at our beautiful waterfront. Please make a donation of any amount and share this with family and friends! Donors of $100 or more will be listed at the TOLCA website. Thank you!
TOLCA is a non-profit organization of volunteers dedicated to enhancing the community through events like the July 4th Celebration, Snowmobile Show & Ride and Engadine Tractor Show, as well as support of a variety of other programs in the area. (Learn more at the Top of the Lake website )
