Northumberland for Ukraine Families
Donation protected
Northumberland for Ukraine has been established to support 20 families (with the numbers growing) fleeing the war in Ukraine and arriving in Port Hope and the surrounding area in the coming weeks. Children ranging from just a few months old to 18 years of age are among these families.
The Canadian government has established the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel program, allowing temporary residence and working or studying in Canada for up to three years.
To help with the needs of the families coming to our Northumberland community, we are raising funds to assist with housing, food, mental health supports, and gift cards that will support each family for a six month period and will fill the gap of available provincial and federal supports.
Spending of all funds will be publicly reported. The report will be done by Lynch Rutherford Tozer Chartered Professional Accountants in Port Hope, Ontario.
