Hey friends!
How beautiful is Norway?! I'm stoked to announce I was accepted into a six month program adventuring in Norway and other countries along the way and depart early January 2020.
I'm participating in a backpacking missions program through an organization called YWAM (Youth With A Mission). The program focuses on outreach within multiple countries in various ways. The goal is to focus on deepening my faith while pursuing the opportunity to discover and chase my goals, passions, and ambitions. We all have ambitions in life, and I'm realizing that the majority of us don't give ourselves permission to chase them. The big goal of this is to take action in discovering, realizing, and declaring those goals and dreams to impact the world for good and have a more fulfilling life.
I value living life with a unique perspective and want to invest in what's personally life-giving to avoid the pattern of feeling stuck. I've had this crazy desire of longing to travel abroad to embrace the world but more importantly the people there. It was when I first went overseas to China a couple years ago I discovered how much I love and thrive in this setting. I can't wait to do it again.
This program is full-time and focuses on lecture and outreach. During the lecture phase, I'll be diving into topics that center around faith and outreach. In addition, I'll be engaging in surrounding communities and receiving practical training. The outreach phase follows the lecture phase where I get to apply everything I've learned during lecture through an intense, cross-cultural experience.
I've been so ready for this kind of opportunity. I kindly ask that you pray about becoming included with God's work through my own life and YWAM around the world. My greatest need is prayer support. It's essential for the success of this trip. I'd love to know if I can count on you in this area, and I'm happy to discuss the many ways you can be praying.
I'm also asking for prayer in financial provision. If you'd like to financially partner with me in this area, I'd be most thankful. The total cost for the program nears $8000. I fully trust this amount will come through. I'm freaking stoked for this program and what's to come afterwards. The funds needed to be raised contribute towards my travel, schooling, food, and housing. I'll be in an outreach program where I won't know where I'm going, how long I'll be there, and the work involved, until the day my team departs. I love this because it's an enormous struggle for western culture to not know our options and to practice patience and trust in this way.
Though I love exploring and adventuring, this is not the trip for touring. It's an experience to learn, and I don't think we should ever stop learning. I want to continually involve myself in new things. The way I learn is through taking action and community so this is 100% ideal for me. I have this crazy, burning desire to go to as many places I can to further engage myself in what's going on the world and meet who I can along the way. I learn more about myself through others and want to pursue it to the best of my abilities.
