Not all Heroes wear Capes

Greetings friends, family, and associates on Jan 4th tragedy struck when Corey a beloved member in the security industry and Jamaican community known by many as max or Coreymax, (for executive protection) was unfortunately the victim of a horrific mass shooting while on the job protecting his client French Montana, Corey was 1 of many who got struck by gunshots at a south Florida video shoot at the Finger Licking restaurant in Miami Gardens. Corey was struck multiple times with rifle shots to multiple parts of his body where he suffered extreme injuries to vital parts of his body and organs. As a result he was hospitalized and spent an immense amount of time in the trauma ICU unit at Jackson Ryder Hospital, where eventually he was able to recover enough to be taken off of ventilators by the grace of God and amazing surgeons and was placed in another unit of the hospital where he is closely monitored and continues to heal 8 months later. Corey has spent a total of 9 months in the hospital so far since January-September.

Corey's only dream as a business owner was to build a business on a foundation people could respect in the security industry, as he often stated security personnel don't get the respect they deserve, and he wanted to employ fellow Jamaicans looking for an opportunity as well as other hard working individuals from diverse backgrounds to grow his business with. Due to the unforseen events on that day Corey's life has been flipped upside down, not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and especially financially, Corey went from operating his daily business and providing for his family, to incurring a mass amount of hospital bills, amongst others that keep coming in. Without his business operating like normal his finances have taken a hard hit, and continue to do so, the burden now falls on his wife and mother of his children to pick up the pieces and do the best she can.
