Not Cancer again, plus.

Donation protected
My name is Rob and yes I have Cancer again. Back in 2019 I was diagnosed with colon cancer which settled in my rectum and sigmoid colon. After a four day hospital stay, a succesful sugery and living with an ostomy bag for 7 1/2 months I thought I was cured. Then in November last year after a routine CT scan it was found the cancer had returned and in a big way. CANCER 2.0 This time it turns out to be metastatic and has settled in my liver, upper right lung, sigmoid colon and a tumor next to my right kidney. In early March I started chemo treatments with everything going according to schedule when I became extremely tired and weak. A blood test revealed I had become anemic and dehydrated, a transfusion of fluids and two days later a blood tranfusion was ordered. Not a usual occurence after just one chemo treatment. That weekend I started suffering from intense cramping in my abdomen, diarhea, hicups and the worse case of fatigue I've ever experienced. On Monday afternoon I took a ambulance ride to the hospital. A quick CT scan told the doctors I was about to go septic, they told me "If this thing bursts you have 2 to 5 minutes to live." It turns out the leak is where my ostomy scar is. Well it didn't and a nine day hospital stay along with another week in a hospice facillity where doctors didn't give me much of a chance still couldn't overcome my will to live. So here I am 2 1/2 months later asking for your financial help.
Now who am I? I'm a single, 64 year old furniture restoration and repair expert who has been in this business for over 40 years, 25 of that self employed. I have my workshop right in my backyard but because of the events over the past couple months I can not work. I'm a veteran of the United States Navy and also don't have the insurance coverage to pay me for living expences. Because of what's happened I had to return the work in my shop and put future contracts on hold, maybe forever, I don't know. I've dried up my bank accounts and the charity of friends, family and my church can only go so far so I'm asking all you good people if you could lend a hand and donate to my cause. I think 20,000 should cover me until the social security checks start coming in.....something else I don't like doing but necessary. Personally I don't think the Lord is ready to take me yet or He would have already and my plan is to get well enough to get back to work and making a living again. After all, I have a mortgage and bills to pay just like everyone else.
I want to thank everyone ahead of time for you're contribution to my cause and I'll be posting a progress reports on my return to health. Stay tuned.
