NOT SO NICE! EDINBURGH FRINGE 2024- BSL SHOW FUNDRAISER

We are NOT SO NICE! A theatre company based in Edinburgh. Established in 2020 from the desire to create performances that inspire, educate and initiate discussion surrounding topics that society may shy away from or could be considered as “taboo”. Over the last four years we have been showcasing emerging artists through our productions at the Edinburgh Fringe and most recently our Scratch Night performances. We are proud to announce that WE ARE BACK AT THIS YEAR'S EDINBURGH FRINGE FESTIVAL! This year we will be performing Ring That Bell! A new play by Kira Mason. Performances will be from the 19th-24th August at the Radisson Blu Hotel (TheSpaceUK, Space on the Mile, Space 3).

This is where you come in. We are asking for financial support in achieving our Fringe goals for 2024. As an unfunded organisation, we want to ensure we are able to create a show that reaches both our artistic wishes, but also our aims as a company. A large part of NOT SO NICE!'S ethos is to establish performances that are accessible and enable all to enjoy new and exciting theatre. In previous years, we have raised funds to have a BSL interpreted performance as part of our Edinburgh Fringe programming. This year we would like to continue in this spirit by being able to provide a BSL interpreted performance.

In order to achieve this, We are hoping to raise a total of £1000 to cover the costs involved for our upcoming production. The money raised will allow us to attain the following:

To be able to work with a BSL interpreter for rehearsals and the performance.

Pay for materials and resources required to create our set design and costume (Including costume for BSL interpreter).

Costs for marketing and promotion for the production highlighting the BSL performance.

We would be grateful for any donations made and we will be providing regular updates on how the money will be used on our journey to the Edinburgh Fringe 2024.
