Talika G. Dennis-Carter was born on September 22, 1979, she has a seven year old handsome son whom she loved dearly.  Talika was employed as a school administrator for over 10 years, where she held the title as the Student Life Coordinator.  The position she held, made her integral in many students, staff, and families lives throughout the school and community.  She received many alcalades and recognitions for her community outreach, as well as being an inspiring public servant in the breast cancer community.  On October 10, 2011,  Talika G. Dennis-Carter was diagnosed with IBC (Inflammatory Breast Cancer).  At the time of the findings, the cancer had matastisized to the lung, the liver, and her  L1 disc in her spine- she was already in Stage 4.  Talika was given six months to live.  Instead of giving up and looking at this diagnoses as a death sentence, Talika looked the doctor in her eyes and said "what's next?"  From that point on, is where her journey begain.....Talika exhausted all of her efforts in spreading awareness towards breast cancer.  She coordinated several events to promote awareness such as, "Hunt 4 The Cure" Easter egg hunt, "Pretty in Pink" Rally on Cincinnati's Fountain Square, "Pink Ball" formal affair held at the Embassy Suites, and 3 Annual Basketball Charity Events held in her honor.  To bring her services to life, Talika organized a "Cancer Spa" named "Pinky's, catering to the needs of those battling Breast Cancer and other Cancers.  Her favorite saying was "If you look good, you feel good!"  This was Talika's motivation as well as inspiration for others.
In November of 2014, Talika's cancer went on a rampage- the tumors increased in size in her lungs, and liver, and was now invading her brain.  She still fought.  Inspite of the odds Talika spoke life into herself, "fear and faith don't mix" she said, "If life deals you lemons, make Pink Lemonade!"  She also modeled the logo "PINK" which represented her strength through it all: PowerInsideNotKnownTalika G. Dennis transitioned into her new place of peace and love on February 28, 2015 after putting up a courageous fight .  She remains a survivor.  In memory of Talika G. Dennis-Carter we are gracefully inviting  those whom would like to contribute in the aid of ongoing medical expenses and family needs.
