November of Kindness: Books for Kids and Cancer Care

Donation protected

Hi, I’m Erin Stevenson, founder of The Do Good Movement. We empower kids with books that inspire self-awareness, kindness, and resilience. This fundraiser will bring our book bundles to classrooms in need, with a portion of proceeds supporting Chicago’s Northwestern Hospital cancer treatment center in memory of Tommy Delorenzo.

This World Kindness Day, November 13th, we’re launching a GoFundMe campaign to raise enough funds to bring the gift of kindness, resilience, and self-awareness to schools across the country. Our goal is to purchase and distribute 250 book bundles from The Do Good Movement to 250 schools, classrooms, or community centers that will benefit from our powerful Social-Emotional Learning books: I Am Strong, I Am Smart, and IAm Kind

About the Books:
These books empower children to learn essential life skills—like self-regulation, emotional awareness, and kindness toward themselves and others. With every book bundle, we’re helping students practice mindfulness, build resilience, and create positive connections in their learning communities.

How You Can Help:
Not everyone has a child to give a book to, but with this campaign, you can still make a difference by sponsoring a bundle for a school, teacher, library, or community center of your choice.
  • Simply make a donation
  • Include the specific school, teacher, library, or community center you'd like to support.
  • $15 provides 1 copy of I am kind to a school or classroom.
  • $60 provides all 3 books for a classroom or school with portion going back to Northwestern Hospital Cancer Treatment center.

Our Ripple Effect of Kindness:
With every book bundle purchase, a portion of the proceeds will be donated back to Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, supporting their cancer treatment center in memory of Tommy Delorenzo. Your contribution not only enriches classrooms with mindfulness resources but also gives hope to those fighting cancer.

Our Goal:
Help us reach our goal by the end of November, and together, let’s spread the message of kindness, mindfulness, and resilience. Your support has the power to spark a ripple effect of kindness and healing far beyond the classroom.

Thank you for being part of this journey to empower students and honor lives with your generosity.
