Now it's Candy's turn...

Our much loved friend Candy Jennings needs some help.
Candy has devoted the last many years contributing to our Vashon community first as a medical assistant with the late Dr. Weispfenning and then at our local health clinic.
When she decided to take a different path she went back to school and became a licensed esthetician and has continued to care for people in her own very successful home - based business.
Now it is our turn to give back. On Monday June 10 Candy had a medical emergency, a "bleed" to the brain, which resulted in her being transported to the ICU unit of a local hospital where she has been since then. She is expected to be hospitalized for another 10 days as the condition is monitored and treated.
Candy is a hard - working woman who, like many of us doesn't have some huge nest egg tucked away somewhere. The hospital bills alone will be staggering. I can't even think about what to do about those.
What we can do is help replace the income she won't be generating to pay monthly bills, buy food and take care of necessities. I think not having the stress of worrying how to cover the basics would be beneficial to her recovery.
I humbly invite those who use Candy's services to donate . And if you have ever been touched by Candy's gentle, caring , kindness... If you have a few dollars to spare, please consider giving our friend a hand.
