Thanksgiving Day Car Crash

On Thanksgiving morning, at 4 a.m., my parents, Jerry and Sally Stokes, were awoken by a car crashing into the back of their home. The vehicle went airborne, hitting the propane tanks and ripping the back half of the house - which consisted of the laundry room, bathroom, pantry and basement access, and the back half of the kitchen - off its foundation and moving it several feet. The couple was left with no electricity, heat, or water. The remaining wall continues to pull away from the rest of the house, with new cracks appearing in the walls and ceiling daily. Funds will help cover the costs needed to make immediate temporary repairs and provide the couple with food. Additionally, your donation will help my parents hire a structural engineer (which the insurance company will not cover) to examine the more than 100-year-old house.
