2021 Haiti Earthquake Relief
On August 14, 2021, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake hit the Southern part of Haiti causing major damage in Les Cayes and surrounding areas. Buildings were flattened, roads were severed, and significant damage was reported to general infrastructure. That is in addition to other significant events that Haiti was already dealing with such as the July 7th assassination of President Jovenel Moise and COVID-19. The precarity of life in Haiti is now compounded by this major disruption in daily life.
The Haitian Ministry of San Diego has been providing aid to Haitians for more than a decade. This recent earthquake is no exception. The church is gearing up to take part in and contribute to Haiti’s rehabilitation by providing direct aid to people in dire need. All hands on board is our motto and to that end, we are preparing a delegation to send to Haiti to provide much needed help and support to Haitians and other organizations that have preceded us. Our partners on the ground are already hard at work and are waiting anxiously for our support.
This campaign is to raise funds to facilitate that group to deliver goods and services to the people affected by the quake. Your help is greatly appreciated. Please support our drive and may you be richly blessed.
