Life Saving Aid For Rohingya in Cox's Bazar - RCO

On August 25, 2017 the Myanmar military intensified its genocidal campaign against the predominantly Muslim Rohingya people of Rakhine state.

The junta murdered over 24,000 people and subjected them to unimaginable atrocities such as torture, rape, mass executions, burning, and forced expulsion.

This resulted in the flight of over 650,000 Rohingya into Bangladesh, where they continue to live today in the world's largest refugee camp. The conditions in the camp are terrible. The people lack access to food, clean water, shelter, medicine, and education.

Imagine being forced to flee your home, leaving behind everything you've ever known, and arriving at a refugee camp with nothing but the clothes on your back. This is the reality for the Rohingya people.

To make matters worse, the international community has all but abandoned them. In March 2023, the World Food Program decreased their rations from a starvation level of $12/person/month to an even more appalling $10/person/month.

Your donations will go to providing food, water, shelter, education, and medical treatment for the Rohingya. With the funds we raise, we will pay for teachers to educate Rohingya children, buy medicine for people suffering from illnesses, dig wells to expand access to clean water, and provide food for the hungry.

  • Medicine for a month: $50
  • Teacher's monthly salary: $145
  • Food Costs for a month: $185
  • Clothes for students: $190
  • Student bags: $280
  • Shelter: $565
  • Deep water well: $940

We ask that you please share our fundraising drive with your friends and family and consider donating whatever you can. Together we can make a difference for the Rohingya people, one life at a time. Thank you for your compassion and generosity!

We are the Rohingya Charity Organization, a US based, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) public charity organization. All the money raised goes to paying for the services we provide to the Rohingya in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh. A small portion is taken out to process financial transfers and filing fees. We do not take salaries for our work in running this organization.

From our favorable letter of determination from the IRS:
If anyone needs an acknowledgement letter for their taxes, please just ask. The EIN# should be enough to receive your deductible in most cases.

Thank you for joining us on our mission to put an end to the Rohingya genocide!
