NQA Foodbank Darlington
Donation protected
Founded in November 2020 to ensure no individual has to go hungry, NQA Foodbank C.I.C. has now supported over 800 families in need across the Darlington area.
This has been achieved by the amazing donations and support from our incredible, selfless volunteers.
We've invested in shelving, safety systems, signage, freezers, PPE, we now have the use of a van, which has been expanded by support from local businesses and organisations.
Our volunteers have had training in Food Safety and Hygiene Level 2 and also provide further safety training and support.
Currently we do have regular expenses which include regular stock, rent, waste management, communications, cleaning equipment and PPE for volunteers.
We are currently preparing to upgrade our facilities and offer a variety of additional support due to increasing demand.
We have built great relationships with other foodbanks in the area and work closely with King's Foodbank in Darlington. This has enabled us to focus our support to people who need it and restrict people abusing the service.
Strategic partnerships with local organisations have enabled us to create a support network where we do not only provide food, but signposting to other bodies which enable our service users to expand their skills.
We have had amazing support from:
King's Foodbank Darlington
First Stop Darlington
Bike Stop Darlington
Family Help Darlington CIO
Darlo Radio
Cornerstone Arts
Arcus Support Services
More in Common Darlington
McDonald's
The Rotary Club
Huntsman Group
