Jimb Mulholland, a quirky, tenacious, and loving man unexpectedly passed away at age 33, leaving behind his wife, Rachel, a ten-year-old son, a three-year-old daughter, and a baby girl due on August 25th. Jimb's greatest pride was his children, putting their needs ahead of his own, as he ventured through life with his bride. His loyalty, level-headed thinking, and kindness were traits his friends and family counted on and loved.
The circumstances surrounding Jimb's death are still somewhat unclear. Jim woke up on Wednesday, June 14th having chest pain. He drove himself to the ER, but didn't make it inside before losing consciousness. When he was found outside the ER door, he was already without a pulse. The staff tried to resuscitate him for an hour, but he was gone. The family does not yet have an answer as to the cause of his death, though a heart attack is likely.
In addition to the cost of the cremation and memorial markers, Rachel is also facing the burden of tackling the family's expenses as a single mother of (soon-to-be) 3 children while working part-time at her salon and obtaining her bachelor's degree. She has been waiting for the opportunity to obtain her degree for years and yearns to continue on to graduate school. As an independent contractor, Rachel will not have the luxury of a paid maternity leave or a secondary income to supplement her pay. The Mulhollands deserve to revel in the joy of this baby without the stress of financial burdens.
As many can attest, the Mulhollands are strong philanthropists and can often be found donating their time, energy, and love for the betterment of others. This is our time to show them the same love in return. If you are unable to donate, take some time to remember Jimb by performing a random act of kindness for others. Jimb's memory will forever live on through your actions.
