Mesothelioma Cancer

HI, my name is Malc, In October 2024 I was diagnosed with Mesothelioma Cancer.

Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that develops in the lining that covers the outer surface of some of the body's organs. It's usually linked to asbestos exposure. Mesothelioma mainly affects the lining of the lungs (pleural mesothelioma).

Unfortunately, it's not possible to cure mesothelioma, although treatment can help control the symptoms.

Mine is linked to working around Asbestos in the late 70's and not having the information we have today around health and safety in the work place.

I'm now 64 years of age and have been married to Nichola for 13 years. I have always worked hard from leaving school, I recently sold my main business with a view to semi retiring and taking more holidays and spending more time with my family.

I've always had a moto of " Earn a little and give a little ".

I've always been told that I'm a generous man and often put others before myself.

I've set this page up to raise money which I would like to split between 2 charities.

The first being the EMAST (formerly known as Derbyshire Asbestos Support Team Charity no: 118006) and

Mesothelioma UK (charity number 1177039)

Both of these organisations have been fantastic with myself and family since learning of my diagnosis.

I really don't know how long I've got, but I have a positive mindset and healthy fit body otherwise and I plan on fighting this for as long as I can.

All I ask is if you can spare some money to donate I would be so grateful as these now are 2 charities that are close to my heart and have helped me and will continue to help others in the future.
