Please help us, help our girl Candace

Hello I am Angela Hillier, I am Candace’s Mom and I am starting this GoFundMe to raise money for legal expenses to retain a lawyer to fight for my daughter Candace and obtain sole physical and legal custody and decision making. Her all around well being, safety, emotional, physical and mental health are very much at stake and as a last resort I am asking our family, friends and the community for help. This is so very difficult for us to do, but as a family we know this is what we need to do to keep our girl safe, happy and healthy. I believe we all have the power to make a difference and that is why I am reaching out. We are extremely desperate to help our girl and give her the childhood she deserves.

• I’m going to share some backstory, for those of you that do not know. Candace is usually a very happy little girl, we have always called her our unicorn. She is always beaming with love and happiness. Over the years and much more as she continues to get older and realize and understand what is going on around her, she is starting to become highly emotional, extremely anxious and sometimes angry. No child should be experiencing the amount of stress she feels. It’s an everyday struggle as her mother and as her family to watch how much everything is affecting her. She has cried herself to sleep on the nights before she has to leave. She has made herself sick because she thinks that she will not have to go over for visitation and I’ve had to keep her home from school as a result. She loves to play baseball, she is in her 7th season of Little League, but sadly she doesn’t get to play her baseball games or be involved in special events that do not fall on my time. This season she will only play 8 out of 18 games. I am unable to get her the medical, dental, eye care and therapy/counseling that she needs without consent and unfortunately getting that consent is a consistent and constant struggle and battle to get her the care and resources she so desperately needs. The neglect, lack of support and concern for Candace and what is in her best interest affects and hurts Candace tremendously. Candace’s sister Isabella is in the process of being adopted by my husband, Brandon Hillier. This past December unexpectedly, I received stepparent adoption papers in my email, and several weeks later a consent and waiver signing rights away to Isabella without any initiation from me. Thankfully this will become finalized in just a few weeks and Isabella will be free of the ongoing mental and emotional abuse. Now we need to help Candace! She needs a voice. She deserves a loving, happy, carefree childhood. After involving law enforcement, school administrators and Candace’s coaches and anyone who has daily/weekly involvement with her, this is what we know we need to do to help our girl!
