NSDT Traveler Curtain Fundraiser
Tax deductible
Dear Valued Community Member,
As a female-founded non-profit children's theater company, we at North Shore Dance & Theater are committed to fostering the joy of theater in the hearts of children from Glenview and the surrounding areas of Niles, Des Plaines, Northbrook, Park Ridge, Skokie, and beyond. Through our productions, workshops, and educational programs, we strive to provide an inclusive and enriching environment where children can explore their creativity, develop their self-confidence, and discover the transformative power of storytelling.
At the heart of our theater lies our stage, a space where creativity knows no bounds and where imaginary places come alive. However, the very foundation of our stage, our traveler curtain, is in need of replacement. Over the years of countless performances, its color has faded, its fabric has begun to fray, and its operation has become increasingly unreliable.
This is why we are reaching out to our community, seeking your generous support to replace our traveler curtain with a new one that will not only enhance the visual appeal of our productions but also ensure the safety and efficiency of our stage operations.
With an estimated cost of $10,000, your donation, no matter the size, will play a vital role in bringing this essential upgrade to our productions. If we surpass our goal, any additional funds will be allocated towards refinishing the wood flooring on our stage and implementing technology upgrades such as projected backgrounds and sound enhancements.
Every dollar you contribute will directly impact the lives of our young performers, providing them with a stage that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also safe and functional. It will allow them to immerse themselves fully in their roles, confident that the backdrop to their performances is as vibrant and captivating as their performances.
Your generosity will not only transform our stage but also send a powerful message to our young performers that their pursuit of the arts is valued and supported.
We invite you to join us in making a lasting impact on the lives of our young performers and the future of our theater. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a world of difference.
Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to the arts.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Alisha Potter, Co-Founder of NSDT
