Care For Keegan
Donation protected
With his wife's permission I am starting this gofundme page for my nephew Keegan Pree.
On Friday November 30th, Keegan was in a very bad car accident. Anyone who knows Keegan, knows he has a positive attitude and a real zest for life. His first reaction on Friday was how thankful he was to be alive. But Keegan also knew something was wrong because he had no feeling from mid stomach on down. But that still didn't keep Keegan from joking around. (One of his main goals on Friday was to get one of his nurses to smile before their shift was up) Keegan thought the nurse was being too serious. That is Keegan's true character . Always thinking of others. He was also staying positive knowing that there was nothing wrong with his arms. He would still be able to hold his first child (a baby girl) that is due in February 2019. Nothing was comfirmed yet. We were all still praying that something was just pinched or dislocated. Something that could be an easy fix.
After going through a 5 hour long surgery on Saturday, the doctor's confirmed the news that we all feared for the last 24 hours. Although not wanting to take any hope away from him, Keegan is paralyzed below the waist.
This is just the beginning of a very long road to recovery that Keegan has a head of him. Keegan will go through extensive physical therapy while living in the hospital. Not only trying to get prepared to welcome their first child, Keegan and his wife will now need to get prepared for Keegan to be able to go home. This is all an unknown territory for Keegan and his family. No one knows what to expect. No one knows how long he will be in hospital and rehab. Keegan is an apprentice with Local 125 Plumbers and Pipefitters. A job that relies on his physical capabilities. We are graciously asking for people to consider donating to Care For Keegan so that his wife and him can focus on his recovery . Please share this GoFundMe page with others. Thank you on behalf of Keegan Pree and Family!
