NSU VAW Medical & Dental Summer Outreach Trip

We are the NSU VAW E-board and we are fundraising for a medical & dental volunteer trip to Peru and the Dominican Republic with the non-profit organization at NSU called Volunteers Around the World Global Health Alliances that provides medical and dental services to underprivileged communities around the world. This summer, a group of interns going on the trip will set up mobile clinics with various stations including intake, vitals, tray prep, and pharmacy. They will be given the opportunity to work alongside physicians and dentists at the clinic and practice basic medical skills. Additionally, there will be an education day where the interns will teach elementary school students on topics such as nutrition and proper brushing habits. Overall, this is an exciting chance for the upcoming interns to learn more about their host culture and their healthcare system and we need your help with covering their fees.

All funds raised would be going towards the trip expenses (includes housing, food, host country transportation, medications and supplies for the patients).
