Bring Him Home to Safety and Love

Quinte Rainbow Refuge in partnership with Capital Rainbow Refuge is proud to launch a new refugee sponsorship.

His name is Ousmane (not his real name), a young gay man from East Africa. His story, like so many in Africa, where hate is sweeping the region, is heartbreaking and yet one of incredible courage, tenacity and above all, Hope! He was almost killed for being gay, his father was 'murdered for the "crimes" of his son and he has lived under a regime of brutality, stunningly enough within a refugee camp itself. For Ousmane and other LGBTQ refugees it would appear the world has turned its back on them, but we have not.
