Missy's Emergency Surgery

Donation protected
Hello, friends! We are asking for help for our precious little 4-pound, 13-year-old teacup Yorkie, Missy. After Wednesday morning, she began refusing all food. On Thursday morning, she had a seizure on our bathroom floor. This morning, 4/15/22, we took her to the amazing folks at Animal Hospital of West Port St Lucie, desperately seeking help. After x-rays, blood work, and an ultrasound, they told us that something was lodged in her small intestine, and the only way to save her life was to attempt emergency surgery.

During the 2-hour procedure, they discovered foreign linear objects lodged in her small intestine, and they removed them. These "foreign linear objects" turned out to be three 2-4 inch long sticks/twigs that resemble pieces of mulch -- and we have no idea why she would have eaten them, as she has never had any interest in any yard debris ever before!?

She is home with us now, recovering, but she still has a very long road ahead. The surgery was necessary, but had a major impact on her tiny little body. Please consider helping us fund Missy's surgery and continued care. As of today, Missy's vet bills have exceeded $3,200.00. If you can help us, please do so. Every donation will be greatly appreciated.

In Gratitude,
Sarah & Susie (Missy's moms)
