Alyssa’s Fight

Alyssa just turned 40 in April and was going to be scheduling her first mammogram soon but when she felt a lump in her breast in May she knew she needed to get into her doctor right away. One test after another lead to the diagnosis of Invasive Ductal Carcinoma likely stage 2 of the right breast(we will know more after surgery).
She will undergo a double mastectomy July 22 with reconstruction surgery to follow. She will also have an aggresive chemo regimen and possibly radiation therapy. Not to mention all of the doctor appointments and tests she has already had to take work off for and not get paid.
Alyssa will be out of work during this time and is unsure when she will return. While her husband carries medical insurance for her and the family the bills of all these things combined will still be costly. We would like to help ease this strenuous time by asking for help from family, friends and those that feel compelled to help this family.
Alyssa and Christian have three children: 18, 12 and 4. They bought their dream home two years ago. Alyssa is the most giving person I know. For those that know her personally know exactly what I am talking about.
