Nugget's Bone Marrow Transplant
Donation protected
Nugget is a 5-year-old trained service dog who has been diagnosed with lymphoma. His owner, Heather Walker, is a high school science teacher and Coast Guard Reservist. Heather was unsuccessful in stopping her best friend's (Army National Guard veteran) suicide via a gunshot wound to the head in the passenger seat of her car in 2019. Nugget provides her with support for her PTSD that resulted from this tragedy. Heather is a full-time online PhD student and has taken a leave of absence from Liberty University to allocate all funds to providing Nugget the best treatment possible.
Heather writes children's books about Nugget to help charities such as the Dogtopia Foundation, which provides service dogs to veterans. Now, Nugget is the one in need of help. In addition to this GoFundMe, all proceeds from Heather's Book "Nugget Goes Hiking" will be used to fund his medical expenses: https://a.co/d/9l8SJ3o
We are fundraising for his bone marrow transplant, which has a 90% chance of curing him of cancer. All receipts will be made available upon request.
Please help our baby boy.
