Fundraiser for Brothers in Geraldton House Fire

This gofundme page has been created at the boys mothers request - I am her daughter in-law. All the funds raised are going directly to her and her family.

There was a tragic house fire that occurred in Geraldton, WA on Thursday 01/06, which resulted in the house burning down - everything was destroyed. Four teenage boys were caught in the fire. Two of the boys were brothers - aged 13 and 14.

Sadly the youngest brother (13), the baby of the family, passed away on the 05/06, surrounded by his family. He was soo brave and strong, he fought right to the very end. He was a mummas boy and still slept in bed with his mummy, it was their bed. We will all miss his beautiful big smile and funny sense of humour. The family, his friends and our community are all devastated and are feeling the loss.

The older brother (14) still remains in a critical condition at Perth Children’s Hospital. His battle is far from over and he’s not out of the woods yet. Him and his little brother were inseparable so the loss is going to be huge for him.

The youngest brother growing his wings has been hard for all, but especially unbearable for his mother. She was still mourning the loss of her second eldest boy who grew his wings in 2017 at 25 years young. With two sons with wings and one son fighting for his life, the heartache she is experiencing is unimaginable. No human, mother or parent wishes this upon anyone.

As the family grieves, the two big sisters are staying with other family while the parents stay at the hospital grieving for their baby and praying their other boy survives. With the brother still in a critical condition, medical professionals and family are unsure of timeframes.

They now have to plan their baby boys farewell and continue to need support with practical items such as food, accommodation, fuel to and from the hospital, clothing, longer term items and support etc. The family are seeking the support of family, friends and the community for donations big or small, or please share this page to your networks help raise funds.
