Numb Love - Short Film

Numb Love, is a colorful and experimental short film which follows Mike, a lovesick, as he endures an electrifying but toxic relationship with Dan; who is somehow able to make him stay. The film will incorporate dynamic visual storytelling paired with musical accompaniment.

Numb Love is written and directed by UCSB student Aileen Pulchny, produced by Jaynar de la Cruz Ochoa and Julius Cesarani, and the entire crew is built up by student filmmakers. We hope to create a thought-provoking film that will shed light on the issues of intimate partner violence faced by many members of the LGBTQ community; a problem which is too often misrepresented as only heterosexual. We have crew members who are part of the community or are allies, and feel passionately about bringing awareness to the subject.
