Holmes Family

Hello friends, family & fellow persons, my name is Justyn Lewis; I’m from & live in Des Moines, Iowa. I’m starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my friend Akeem Holmes & the Holmes Family. More than ever, this family needs community through our support. Let’s not wait until something similar happens to us for us to increase our empathy and understanding. Let’s expand our hearts and be the community we all desire to see…

Because what happens to one of us, happens to all of us.

On May 16th, 2022, a complete tragedy & accident rocked the Holmes family. Their beautiful, bright, and adventurous daughter Savannah Carolyn-Rayne Holmes passed away at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines due to the accident.

Now the family is facing a mountain that CAN be moved with our help! Due to the accident, remaining costs and new expenses are accumulating and burdening the family.

Funds will be used for various costs, including but not limited to housing, relocation, remaining funeral expenses, and legal fees associated with the accident.

My dream and true heart desire is that we can all pull together what we can spare and show up for this wonderful family in their time of need. This is not a time to be critical or negative about the events of that tragic day. Put yourself in their shoes… How would you want the community to show up for you? We shall, and we will wrap this family in our love and support.
