Hello, my name is Alessandro, and I originally come from Esterzili, a small town in central Sardinia that is at risk of depopulation. For me, Esterzili is more than just a village or a place on a map. It is a living, breathing entity that embodies the essence of who I am and where I come from. It represents resilience, strength, and an unwavering spirit.

Ciao, il mio nome e’ Alessandro sono originario di un piccolo paese del centro Sardegna a rischio di spopolamento : Esterzili.

Per me Esterzili non è solo un paesino o un luogo su una mappa.

È un'entità vivente e che respira che rappresenta l'essenza stessa di chi sono e da dove vengo. È un luogo di resilienza, di forza e di spirito incrollabile.

The people of Esterzili have endured a great deal over the years - from wars and famines to political upheaval and economic struggles. However, they have always persevered and maintained their unique identity and cultural heritage.

La gente di Esterzili ha sopportato così tanto nel corso degli anni - da guerre e carestie a sconvolgimenti politici e lotte economiche. Tuttavia, hanno sempre perseverato e mantenuto la loro identità unica e il loro patrimonio culturale.

There is something truly special about the community spirit in Esterzili. Despite the challenges they face, the people of this town continue to come together and support one another. There is a strong sense of togetherness and unity that permeates the community, and it's a beautiful thing to witness.

C'è qualcosa di veramente speciale nello spirito comunitario di Esterzili. Nonostante le sfide che devono affrontare, la gente di questo paese continua a riunirsi e a sostenersi a vicenda. I am forever grateful to my ancestors who possessed the vision and courage to establish their lives here, and to all those who have labored tirelessly to safeguard its abundant cultural heritage. I implore all of you to take a moment to cherish and cherish the locations that hold a profound significance in your hearts – the places where your roots firmly anchor. It is within these places that we discover our sense of belonging, our sense of identity, and our sense of self.

Sarò per sempre in debito con i miei antenati che hanno avuto la visione e il coraggio di costruire la loro vita in questo luogo, e con tutti coloro che hanno lavorato instancabilmente per preservare il suo ricco patrimonio culturale.

My dream is to combat the issue of depopulation by establishing a facility that accommodates various events, associations, international experiential holistic initiatives, and coworking spaces for digital nomads. This holistic/experiential center will be named the "Nuragic Temple" and will be located in the beautiful area of Barbagia di Seulo. The center will provide support services for personal growth and well-being.

Il mio il mio sogno e' quello di combattere questo fenomeno dello spopolamento creando una struttura che ospiti eventi, associazioni, realtà olistico esperienziali internazionali e di coworking space per digital nomads un centro olistico/esperenziale che si chiamerà " Nuragic Temple" che avrà sede in Esterzili in uno stabile donatomi per questo progetto nello splendido territorio della barbagia di Seulo e che offrira' servizi di supporto alla crescita e benessere personale.

Furthermore, it aims to serve as a sanctuary for writers and artists seeking inspiration amidst nature and tradition, enabling them to complete their creative works while indulging in local culinary delights, exploring natural trails, and visiting significant archaeological sites. All of this will be accompanied by the enchanting ambiance of a small town.

Vuole inoltre essere rifugio per scrittori, artisti che vogliono circondarsi di natura e tradizione per concludere i loro lavori di pubblicazione coccolati da buon cibo locale, passeggiate tra sentieri naturali e siti archeologici di grande importanza, cullati dall’ atmosfera fatata di un piccolo paese.

THE PURPOSE OF THE PROJECT:

In fact, the purpose of this project is to promote an attraction that will create new opportunities for the promotion and sale of local products. Consequently, it aims to offer job opportunities to the population of Esterzili.

GLI INTENTI DEL PROGETTO:

L’intento di questo progetto infatti, intende promuovere un punto di attrazione al fine di fornire nuove opportunità di promozione e vendita dei propri prodotti locali e quindi offrendo opportunità lavorative alla popolazione di Esterzili.

The project aims to position itself in the field of sustainable tourism, specifically targeting smaller towns and territories known as "villages." These locations attract a more curious type of tourist who seeks to explore and discover. The growing interest in unspoiled environments has led to the development of accommodation facilities that prioritize environmental sustainability by repurposing vacant and abandoned houses. This concept is known as the "Albergo Diffuso" (scattered hotel).

Il progetto vuole collocarsi nell'ambito del turismo nei cosiddetti borghi, un tipo di turismo rivolto alla sostenibilità, ad un maggior interesse verso il territorio e i centri minori, dove si ha la presenza di un turista più curioso, spinto da un desiderio di scoperta. Questa nuova sensibilità verso l’incontaminato è sta aumentando, portando così alla creazione di nuove strutture ricettive che non alterassero la sostenibilità ambientale con nuove costruzioni, ma al contrario sfruttassero quelle abitazioni vuote ed abbandonate, che rappresentano gli alloggi del cosiddetto “albergo diffuso”.

The objective is to revitalize the entire Barbagia di Seulo area, promote its recognition internationally, and become an attractive hub for neighboring countries and beyond.

Vuole far rivivere l' intera area della Barbagia di Seulo, far conoscere il territorio all' estero e diventare polo di attrazione per la rete dei paesi limitrofi e non solo.

Additionally, the project aims to incorporate various holistic experiences from Sardinia and other regions, integrating their workshops and activities into the annual program of the Nuragic Temple.

Vuole inoltre rivolgersi alle diverse realtà olistiche della Sardegna e non solo, portando i loro laboratori e attività all'interno della programmazione annuale della Nuragic Temple.

Furthermore, the project intends to maintain and strengthen existing connections with foreign countries, specifically the partnership established in the past with Nuragic Shamanic Healing (Irish headquarters). This will involve twinning related activities that engage multiple stakeholders from Ireland, Sardinia, and other regions.

Vuole inoltre mantenere e consolidare un legame con l'estero già costruito in passato con La Nuragic Shamanic Healing (sede Irlandese) attraverso dei gemellaggi di attività inerenti coinvolgendo diversi operatori tra l' Irlanda e la Sardegna e non solo.

The development of the Nuragic Temple will also rely on collaboration with local entities such as proloco (local tourism association) and folk groups. The Municipality of Esterzili will provide suitable premises for the project if additional locations are required, further enhancing Esterzili's reputation as an attractive destination for visitors.

La Nuragic Temple si sviluppera’ anche grazie alla collaborazione le realta’ esistenti del paese come proloco, gruppo folk etc con l'amministrazione del Comune di Esterzili che mettera' a disposizione dei locali per il progetto qualora necessitino di piu locations per far si che Esterzili abbia un ulteriore publicita' come luogo attrattivo per i visitatori.

Why this dream, and why in a village in the center of Sardinia?

This small village and its people have taught me, since I was a child, the importance of values, traditions, love for one's land, a sense of community, and living simply and naturally. My grandparents and part of my lineage reside here, and this dream is my way of expressing gratitude to them and helping ensure that the small town of Esterzili not only survives but also thrives once again!

PERCHÉ QUESTO SOGNO E PERCHÉ PROPRIO IN UN PAESINO AL CENTRO DELLA SARDEGNA?

Questo piccolo villaggio e la sua gente mi hanno insegnato sin da bambino quanto siano importanti i valori, le tradizioni, l’amore per la propria terra, il senso di comunità il vivere nel semplice e di natura.

I miei nonni e parte del mio lignaggio risiede qui e questo sogno e’ il mio modo di ringraziarli e di aiutare a far sì che il piccolo paese di Esterzili non muoia ma rinasca!
