Nurse Marva’s lung cancer Trust
Donation protected
Hello my name is Michelle and I am fundraising for North Manchester general hospital and hopefully other NHS trusts piloting this scheme.
My mum was a nurse at North Manchester general hospital for 20 years.
she was initially misdiagnosed with asthma and subsequently her lung cancer was detected too late and she passed away on the 23rd January 2023, before receiving any treatment. My mum had recently retired from working on the palliative care team at Manchester general hospital and had delayed taking her retirement to help with the COVID pandemic. This has been a great loss to our family, the local community where she continually organised fund raising events for locals and for the hospital where she frequently raised money for the hospital, through cake sales and making hampers.
This charity would be in her honour as she was such a selfless individual that gave her life to help others. It would provide the hospital with the funds to purchase and install the AI TECHNOLOGY REQUIRED so that others could be accurately diagnosed sooner and receive the vital treatment that they require in order to live longer and have more precious time with their loved ones.
We are in discussion with the consultant radiologists at North Manchester general hospital who equally supports this charity. Any help that can be offered towards this cause would be very much appreciated and would help to save lives and change the future for others, thank you.
