Nurse Shemekia Holley Medical Fund

The Women of Faith Outreach Ministry of the Marzell Missionary Baptist Church has created this gofundme in support of our dear sister, Shemekia Holley. On June 5, 2021 she suddenly fell ill and was rushed to the emergency room at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was later airlifted to Little Rock, Arkansas, due to suffering a massive brain aneurysm. Shemekia is a single mother of three children (pictured on the cover page). She previously worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in her hometown of Dumas, Arkansas. She is one of the most kind-hearted women you'd ever meet; she always gave whatever she had to help others. She served as an assistant choir director, led the praise dance ministry, and was the lead youth director in her local church. Shemekia has had multiple brain surgeries and complications but continues to overcome them. The doctors have determined that she will be in a vegetative state for the rest of her life. However, we are hopeful that she will resume an active and healthy lifestyle with the needed care. She continues to fight as hard as she can. As you can imagine, the medical bills will continue to be significantly high, as well as treatments, therapy, medical equipment, devices, and adaptations to the home.
