Hello, my name is Jennifer also known as the diva nurse from TikTok. @the divanurse
because of my position, as an advocate, for other nurses across the nation, and more specifically our precious elderly in long-term care facilities across the nation, I have been considered an outspoken nuisance to the corporations guilty of placing nurses at a disadvantage, and unable to provide the care we so desperately want to provide in these care settings. I recently encountered two facilities that were so grossly understaffed one poor individual was found deceased, having not been seen in several hours. This is deplorable and unacceptable by any standard.
I initiated a video on TikTok describing the situation to bring awareness to other nurses family members across the country And advocate for change. In less than two weeks this video has been seen by over 1.2 million people with tens of thousands voice in support and encouragement. In less than a week I encountered another facility almost as bad to which I also posted a video That video has been viewed almost 700,000 times. Because of these videos I have lost my job and been blackballed by virtually every healthcare company in south central Texas. Almost immediately I have lost my ability to earn a living and support my most minimal needs. This is why I beg of your help and assistance at this time.
I have less than $100 cash to my name. My car is behind on payments and has been turned out for repossession. I will lose my phone by June 20 which is my only means of communication either by phone text or Internet as I desperately search for employment. My rent is due on July 1 and utility bills are behind. I am truly broke and destitute, and on the verge of being on the street. I have no living family whatsoever. If anyone can be so gracious as to forgo, maybe one stop at Starbucks or one meal out, or skip a movie or even pass on that extra drink and help me get through this most difficult time I would forever be most humbly grateful. I promise to continue to advocate for all nurses and the precious elderly we care for. We are all getting older and may very well be there ourselves one day. I can only pray change takes place before that happens or God help us. And bless you all for anything you can do to help me survive. Jennifer
