Nursing Nurse Sarah Back to Health

Sarah is a nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit  in Fort Worth, Texas. She was recently diagnosed with Stage 2 Endometrial Cancer.  This was very unexpected, considering she did not have any symptoms before she was whisked away to the ER, while at work. From that day on, she has been courageously battling the scary fight against cancer. Throughout this ongoing journey, she has had to endure several emergent surgeries and procedures to appropriately diagnose her cancer. Along with starting hormone injections and having her eggs harvested, she has also lost her beautiful hair.  Talk about traumatic. Going from 24 inches of hair to 0 inches overnight is traumatic. She did get an awesome wig that looks amazing, thanks to her dear friend Carrie. One thing Sarah hasn't lost since her devastating diagnosis is her positive spirit. Sarah has remained optimistic throughout almost every day. Although she does have her "bad days", she continues to focus on all the good in her life. Sarah is planned to have a series of 6 chemotherapy rounds (1 every 3 weeks). So far, she has completed 2 rounds. Woo hoo! However, this fight is about to get even harder, as she will get weaker and more tired as the treatments go on. We pray that she remains strong throughout this process, but know that chemotherapy will take its toll on her body over time. Sarah has not been cleared to come back to work just yet. So, it is with this Go Fund Me account, that I ask for donations to help my best friend, someone who spends their life saving others' lives, to help her get back on her feet. Sarah's family and friends have been super supportive and encouraging during this difficult time.
