Nursing placement in Kampla, Uganda⚕️
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Rebekah Lynn and I am starting my final year as an adult nursing student studying at Liverpool John Moores University.
On the 16th September I will be travelling to Kampala in Uganda for a 4 week placement with the Knowledge 4 Change charity (K4C). During these four weeks I will be working with patients with a variety of complex needs as-well as having the opportunity to work alongside other students and staff to make a difference, contributing towards K4C’s highly beneficial projects.
As part of my experience in Kampala, I will have the opportunity to work in multiple placement locations, including hospital wards and operating theatres in large urban hospitals and small rural health centres; community outreach programmes focusing on mental health, children's health and women's empowerment; prisons, juvenile centres and refugee settlements; schools for disabled children and children's development centres.
As you can imagine this experience does come as a cost. However, the support I am asking for will not only help me make this trip a success but I am also hoping to bring over some supplies including scrubs, portable handheld observation machines, baby clothes etc.
I am extremely grateful to be accepted for this opportunity and I know times are tough for everyone at the moment so any donation no matter how small can make a huge difference in the Kampala community.
Thank you for your support!☺️☺️☺️
