Chevys Recovery

Hi, my name is Kirby and we’re fundraising for our son Chevy. Chevy was hit by a car while riding his bike Thursday evening. Chevys neck was “internally decapitated” (meaning there was nothing holding his skull to his neck), his diaphragm was tore and pushed into his chest, he had a broken femur, broken ankle, and obviously many abrasions all over his body. They repaired his diaphragm Thursday night. They did a spinal fusion in his neck and repaired his femur and ankle yesterday. They removed his intubation today and he is currently stable and breathing on his own with very minimal oxygen support. He is waking up enough to talk to his siblings and family (and show them his new toy thanks to his supporters donations). Chevy is the strongest boy I have ever met! He is fighting more and more everyday. Me and his father will be making the 6 hour round trip from home (Toledo) to Columbus (where he is at) every other day so we can take turns being home with our other children and at the hospital with him. Any donations will go directly towards gas, his medical needs, and support for our family in this time of need. Thank you all in advance. Our son couldn’t do any of this without all of your support.
