Help Evelyn Rebuild After Devastating Fire

It is with a heavy heart that I reach out to you today. My name is Evelyn, and I have lived in this house with my mother since 1985. I am a foster with Stray Cat Blues and have/had many foster kitties including a dog and 4 cats of my own. We just experienced an unimaginable tragedy the day before Thanksgiving that will change our lives forever. A fire that began in our neighbor’s house spread and completely destroyed our home. Our entire home and belongings are gone.

People tell me that I risked my life by going back inside and collected my dog, all of my cats and foster kitties in carriers. I just did what I had to do. However, our hearts were broken because we couldn't find one foster, Fred. Unbeknownst to me Fred found refuge somewhere in the basement and showed himself in the window to the fireman 2 days later. Thank goodness, they are safe now and my fosters have been placed with other foster parents at Stray Cat Blues.
