Nvalaye 5G for primary school renovation
Donation protected
Hi Friend,
I am turning 50. I will be browsing on 5G from Sept 15. What an exciting time with hopes and deep introspections. I don’t usually celebrate birthdays. The last big one I can remember was when I was 15. A memorable party planned and organized with all my childhood buddies in my hometown of Sokoura, Bouake. However, Family and Friends have always been there each of the past 35 years to make this day extra special for me. I have no doubt they will be with me again for this special one.
5G is a special milestones indeed. As I reflect on my journey so far, I am submerged with different emotions: intense Joy, some sadness but above all a deep sense of gratitude. I had my share of disappointments, pains and sometimes regrets with broken dreams and lifetime scars. But even in the darkest hours, I always felt blessed to be alive and living the experience with the conviction that better days will come. And without fault better days always came and sometime more than I ever imagine. I am grateful for all these experiences: the highs and the lows. I am convinced that none of these would have been possible without the education I received.
My travels plan this year brought me back to the education temples that forged me. The 15th reunion of my Harvard Business School class was a chance to connect and open up to more possibilities ahead. An impromptu visit at Lycée Scientifique de Yamoussoukro, my high school, brought me back memories of dedication to learning. A pilgrimage to EPP Camp Militaire 1, my primary school in Sokoura, Bouake where it all started showed me how lucky I was. While I was proud to see an always thriving HBS and comforted by the upcoming renovation of the Lycée scientifique, I was heartbroken by the conditions at my primary school. Damaged and leaking roofs, falling walls but the worse was the lack of descent toilet facilities for the kids. A difficult situation for all, especially the young girls. A conversation with the school leadership convinced me that something has to be done.
What to do to mark my half century on earth? I would like to use my 50th birthday to help create a better learning environment for the children of EPP Camp Militaire of Sokoura, Bouake. For my birthday, I am raising fund to build descent toilettes for the boys and girls, repair the roofs and walls and more if possible. I am calling on you my friend to help me with this cause. I am asking for your donation as a birthday gift. I will match the donation with up to $5,000 of my own contribution.
The campaign will run to Sept 30th 2022. Receipt of the fund will then be presented to the school, a contractor hired and project updates provided to all donors.
Thank You for making my 5G transition even more special!!!
