Smokey's vet bill

My name is Sammy and I'm fundraising for my cat Smokey's vet bill. Smokey is a 3 year old Bengal that I adopted in November 2023. He loves watching birds through the window, opening all the kitchen cabinets, and giving in to the late night zoomies. I have spent the last decade waiting to adopt a cat of my own and in the 6 months that I’ve had him Smokey has become my best friend.

Smokey is currently at BluePearl hospital receiving treatment for low platelet count in his blood, meaning his blood can't clot and he is at risk of spontaneous bleeding. The cause is still unknown. It could be edema, inflammation, hemorrhage, or cancer. He's receiving steroids to raise his platelet levels which means several more days in the hospital and possibly several weeks of treatment at home. Once his platelets are back up we can begin to look for the cause.

This has all happened very quickly within the last three or four days. Smokey's insurance is unable to cover any of the expenses and I have used up all of my savings to cover the bills so far and no longer can manage the expenses alone.

If you've had a pet before you know you'd go to the end of the earth for them and I am willing to do the same for Smokey.
