Help with medical bills
Donation protected
As you may know, many members of us who have served our country struggle with mental health issues and other medical problems one of them is Kyle he served on the submarine out of Pearl Harbor from 2007-2017. Recently Kyle was admitted to the ICU on Saturday July 8th after suffering a seizure which resulted in intubation to protect his airway. Some complications led to the placement of a tracheostomy. During the procedure, his heart stopped. The medical team was able to successfully resuscitate him, but his condition was critical. During all the medical interventions, foreign material came into Kyle’s lungs making him vulnerable to infection and challenging to bring in oxygen. He was placed on a machine called ECMO to bypass his lung to allow them to rest and recover. During this process, his heart stopped again. Thankfully he made it through and was transferred to a large hospital in Portland, OR. This week’s treatment has been productive and Kyle has made good progress towards recovery and his lungs are improving. He has been responsive to questions and moving around with assistance. He has been becoming more aware of what is happening around him and starting the long process of recovery.
This will be a very long recovery process (could be several months). Without income, Kyle is facing hardship with the cost of living and paying his bills. Along with having to move due to now having so physical limitations and the need for rehabilitation services. First, we are asking for prayers for Kyle to fully recover mentally and physically during his medical journey. We also humbly ask that you consider if you are able to provide any kind of financial support. We know this would be such a blessing to Kyle and we would all be so grateful for any assistance. There is no obligation, but if you feel that you are able to contribute gofunme has been made available for you to donate.
