My name is Roseanne Kennerley, I am the 4th eldest daughter of Rex and Myrle Kennerley and on behalf of my family we have created this.
Our heart is heavy at this time at the passing of our sweet Dad, Grandpa, Uncle, Brother, Friend and of course my Mother's eternal companion. Not only do we all feel the tremendous loss and grief of such a remarkable man who loved the Lord and his family but we feel the tremendous stress and financial burden that burrying him will be on our sweet mother. We have had so many people who loved our Dad reach out to us to ask if a koha (donation) can be given and we thought this would be a beautiful way of those who are wanting to pay tribute and show their aroha me te tautoko (love and support). I cant even begin to comprehend the loss my mother is about to endure, her eternal companion of almost 48 years has gone to continue his mission on the other side so easing that burden by helping to contribute to the cost would be a blessing. My Dad loved the lord with all his heart. He served a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Adelaide Mission, he was the first Mission Training Center President in the South Pacific for 8 years, was the Public Relations Co-ordinator for the Church when President Kimball was Prophet and was instrumental in establishing the Seminary and Institute Program in New Zealand. He also served as a Bishop and in the Stake Presidency through out his life. Missionary work and serving the lord was who our Dad IS. What joy it does bring to our hearts in knowing that the restraints of his ailing earthly body, no longer keep him bound from doing what his spirit was born to do. Please help us support our Mum in the heavy burden of saying goodbye and god speed.
Whakawetai koe a aroha tatou koutou katoa xx
Thank you and we love you all xx
