                              "The Black Panther Growls!"

I need your help to help others.  That's what I do.

Before you go further please stop and google me.  You will find plenty of information about my life story and my current work, which is based here in Detroit  with serious connection to Chicago, Madison, St. Louis, Ferguson MO, WeCopWatch in the the Bay Area...

I am one of the O.G. (original group) Black Panthers,  Chicago branch .  I am also one of the seven women and men who were shot but survived the assination of Brother Fred Hampton, Deputy Chairman, Illinois and Defense Captain Mark Clark.

After the flamming sixties I spent over thirty years in prisons  for gun related crimes.  After 23 calendar years of prison in Michigan, I was paroled to my wife and three daughters in 2012.

While in prison
I discovered that many people appreciated the ethics, the work,  the thinking, and the sacrefices of the Black Panthers to help others.  Gangsters and prison staff alike asked Panthers to help mediate violence in the prisons and to do restorative justice work.  Our Chance for Life program establish Conflict resolution centers in multiple prisons. I became a certified substance abuse counselor, started a Parenting From Prison program, taught communictions skills, tutored, a art and craft instructor and a protector of the vulnerable.  I started college and (of course) I read hundreds of books.

After my release from prison I soon discovered that people expected something special from a Black Panther.  Especially our youth!!!    Now I young people come to me on a daily basis for validation and encouragement to fight for justice.

Regularly I am engaged in conversations on resiliancy and re entry to society after parole  and on the issues pertinent to prisoners, parolees, ex-convicts and their families.

This may read crazy as hell to you.  Perhaps impossible and improbable yet each of these are orgs,  groups and endeavors, that I am currently, actively, passionately working on.  Several of the above I have helped launch and there are others that need to be staffed and financed.

Consequently, I am over extended, unfinanced, have little formal education, half death,  and I have misdomeanor warrants pending for fines that I must pay.  Cannt drive my car because high insurrance, and needs of repair, so I  ride the bus (which I like because conversations with the real people of Detroit keep me grounded) but I must be more mobile to meet the demands of my family, the movement, the list above and my insane revolutionary life.  These young people are wonderful.

So I need your help!   Each project is confirmable and I ask that you make that effort to check us out.   We need more than your money We need sponsors and benefactors on an International level.  We are not  engaged in any violent or criminal activities so I am transparent and move in the light of God's loving Son Jesus and His Power!

The last thing that I would share about who I am and how I think is that the Corner Stone of my thinking and guide to my action, is a simple principle.

                                  "Love courageously!"

I love God, the great gift of Mother Earth, and all which she has birthed.
