Terra needs our help!

Hello! This is Sandi and have just found out about my dear friend Terra who is in the hospital with a massive Saddle Pulmonary Embolism.
It is treatable and she will be released and be prescribed blood thinners. Thank goodness!
However, for a long time Terra has been self-employed and now with recovery time and lost wages, she will not be able to work and make any money to pay even the basic monthly bills.
Terra has been the light in many people’s lives and I know she would help out a friend in need if she could. This is an opportunity to help Terra so she can focus on getting better and not stressing about the cost of living, at least for a little while.
Any amount will help.
Thank you for taking the time.
Here is Terra’s original post about the incident:

On Tues. while teaching my improv class I experienced something I never have before. I can’t even describe the feeling, only that I knew I wasn’t okay. I couldn’t breathe and my heart was pounding harder and faster than it ever has before.

Thankfully my amazing class got me to the hospital quickly & from there I was rushed in an ambulance to Lethbridge where these images were taken in a CT scan.

I’ve been told many times in the last few days that I’m lucky to be alive, and that this is one of the largest SPE’s that they’ve ever seen.

It’s a lot to process. I could sure use a hug.

Loneliness and fear have gotten the best of me the last few days. It really makes a person think about their life. This will be a whole new level of self soothing and care. I can’t wait to be out of the hospital and back in my beautiful tiny house.

Luckily, this is treatable! I’ve been told that if this was 40 years ago it would be a death sentence.

I’ll be taking some serious blood thinners for the next year and with their help my body should be able to reabsorb this clot.

To add insult to injury, I JUST started a new job

I’m told not to stress about stuff because my heart is working extra hard right now because of this clot, and it doesn’t need me adding to its work load.

I’m not sure how NOT to stress, but I’ll do my best.

Life feels extra hard right now. Meeting basic needs is almost impossible, and added hurdles like a life threatening event, make me feel like I’ve lost control completely and that for every step forward I get shoved 3 steps back. It’s easy to get dark alone in a hospital room

I’m trying to focus on the positive even though it feels trite and a bit like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound.

Today I’ll remind myself I have much to be grateful for. I’ll think of those things over and over as I lie here in this terribly uncomfortable bed hoping I can go home soon, get back to work, and most importantly go to the forest and sit in the river with my dog, who I hope doesn’t think I’ve abandoned him.

Big love to you Terra ❤️✨
