The Glorious Hole

Donation protected
The Glorious Hole was conceived in 2017 when a new friend of mine was telling me about how big his penis is. Naturally, I started to think about ways in which I could show his phallus off. “Let’s make a shrine, a Glorious Hole!” I said. The first Glorious Hole was exhibited in 2018, where a live model stood behind a wall, covered in 350 pounds of green grapes, for three hours.

I have been showing penises in my photography for many years, I find myself drawn towards them. In America, we are great at selling sex, yet we have so much fear, shame, and double-standards surrounding it. Through my work, I seek to reclaim the male form. Just because a penis is out in the open, doesn’t mean anyone is threatened, and it doesn’t necessarily mean anything sexual is happening.

The Glorious Hole allows viewers a chance to see a penis in real life, in the flesh, with no artifice, pretense, expectation, etc. It is a safe space, in which we can collectively unravel the strange, Western conditioning that most of us have inherited or learned.

Unlike a glory hole, which would typically be used for sexual endeavors, the Glorious Hole is meant to be just that, glorious, a spectacle to feast the eyes upon.

This week I’m showing the third installation of the glorious hole and I’m so excited to share some of the plans I have for the future.

First off, thank you to everyone that is following along, supporting from near or far, I see you and I greatly appreciate you.

I want to try to raise $100,000 to put on a larger show, 20 walls in one room, a huge buildout into a space in Manhattan this fall, which has  been the goal since the beginning. Now, I’m ready to see this thing through.

The larger show will have music direction by none other than Kevin Newbury. There will be interactive walls for all body types, walls created by other artists, a VIP experience that would allow viewers behind the models and the network of glorious holes, and some other surprises.

I’ve shown the previous glorious holes for one night only. This large installation buildout would allow people to come see the show over the span of an entire month.

The money I'm raising for this show will pay the collaborating artists, press team, music director and musical acts, models, security, design and build-out of the space, and mainly will help pay for the space itself.

This next phase of the Glorious Hole will be really incredible.  Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the show. Thank you to Sam Waxman for the rendering of the space. I hope y’all can make it! And any donations big or small will go a long way to helping make this thing become a reality.
