NYC Marathon for Seana

Donation protected
Hi everyone!

It’s Stephanie Hunter. My childhood friend, Seana, was recently diagnosed with DMG (Diffuse Midline Glioma), a rare form of pediatric brain cancer. I am running the New York Marathon in three weeks and fundraising to help Seana and her family cover the costs of medical bills. Any donation, no matter the size is greatly appreciated.

Learn more about Seana’s story below:

On October 3rd, Seana had a routine oncology appointment with Dr. Klin. She was informed that the pathology results of her tumor's tissue had finally come in, pathology results that were only possible because of the biopsy. Seana received the diagnosis of a brain tumor called Diffuse Midline Glioma, or DMG. This is a high-grade (grade 4) tumor is in the pons of her brainstem that requires 6 weeks of daily radiation and participation in clinical trials for different drug therapies.
DMG is a life-threatening pediatric brain cancer and this class of tumors comes along generally with a very poor prognosis, as the tumor cannot be removed due to its location and size.
The goal is to shrink, or keep the tumor stable for as long as possible.
While this news can be scary to hear, Seana is ready to face this diagnosis head-on.
