NYC Marathon Fundraising for MOCA

Tax deductible
For me, two big things have been affected by the pandemic. My health with long Covid, and my community with a rise in anti-Asian hate. To help combat both, I've trained to run my first marathon at the 2022 NYC Marathon to help raise funds for the Museum of Chinese in America!

A short video of my experience:

After training for 6 months and going from barely able to run 3 miles to running 26.2 (with a knee injury!), I've had a tremendous experience and learned the value of community and perserverence. It was the toughest thing I ever did and just like the marathon, I need to finish what I started and complete my fundraising goals to help MOCA building a permanent home to help educate and inspire the public about the Chinese in America experience. All cultures should be celebrated and appreciated for the value they bring to our communities and this will add value to the conversation for generations to come.

Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

More information about Museum of Chinese in the America: Founded in 1980, the Museum of Chinese in America (MOCA) is dedicated to preserving and presenting the history, heritage, culture and diverse experiences of people of Chinese descent in the United States. The greatly expanded MOCA at 215 Centre Street is a national home for the precious narratives of diverse Chinese American communities, and strives to be a model among interactive museums.
