NYC Struggling Family

As most of you know, I work in a NYC Public School. Many families are facing especially challenging times right now. I'm currently working with a family who is really struggling. The children are ages 5 and 9. Both parents have lost their jobs and the little money they had in savings has dwindled quickly. Every day I send home bags of leftover food and snacks for the kids. Their parents are very appreciative, however, I know it's not enough. They are a humble family living in a studio apartment and don't ask for much, but I cannot sleep at night knowing they do not have enough money for food and other basic living expenses. 

I've set the fundraising goal at $1000. I know many people are struggling and I don't want to ask for too much. I also know this money will go far and the family will be able to breathe a little easier, for now. If you have the means to donate anything at all, it would be so greatly appreciated.
