NYHL Helping Our Own - George Family Accident

Let’s Stand Together for the George Family

On Thursday, the George family was involved in a tragic car accident, leaving the entire family injured. Their 9-year-old son, Alec, suffered the most critical injuries, including severe head trauma. Since the accident, Alec has undergone multiple surgeries and emergency medical treatments, and he remains sedated to manage swelling in his brain.

Both Alec and his older brother Colin are beloved members of the NYHL, having played House, Flyers, and All Stars. Alec is a kind, hardworking player and a teammate who always lifts up those around him.

Now it’s our turn to lift them up. As a hockey community, we know that our strength lies in our ability to come together in times of need. Whether we’re teammates, opponents, or fans, we are all part of the same family—and today, the George family needs us.

Let’s rally to support them through this unimaginable time. Donations will provide critical help with medical expenses, meals, and anything else they may need to focus on Alec’s recovery and their family’s well-being.

This is what our hockey community is all about: standing together, on and off the ice.
