NYU Fundraising Intensive
Tax deductible
Hi Everyone,
I truly love this work and want to make this organization one that stands the test of time.
Women's Strength Coalition has launched several new and exciting initiatives, including opening our first gym. In order to sustain our efforts, we need to get serious about building our fundraising and development arm.
This is all new to me. I didn't go to school for this. I have no one with a background in nonprofit management or fundraising helping develop this division. It needs to start and it needs to be taken seriously.
So... I'm starting a fundraiser to learn about fundraising...
It is a 5-day NYU Fundraising Intensive, and costs $1,400 ($1,420 with tax), that I truly can't afford to pay for on my own.
I will spare you the sob story, but I currently make a minimum wage salary of $31,100 from the nonprofit. I work *at least* 60 hours a week, which comes out to less than $10 an hour.
I am not independently wealthy. I do not have much in the way of savings. I have a lot of student loan debt. I do not receive financial assistance from family.
I wouldn't ask if I could afford this on my own. Thank you so much for reading and for all of you that have supported already.
