Nyum Bai Support Fund

With mandates to close all "non-essential" business because of COVID-19 in the Bay Area, many small businesses and restaurants like Nyum Bai have been forced to close down. As workers, we are sad and disappointed that we will no longer be able to cook and serve you the delicious food at Nyum Bai.

This fundraiser is to support all the workers who have been laid off and will be unemployed for the foreseeable future. Many workers in the food service industry are not able to receive unemployment benefits for various reasons and for those that are, these benefits are often not enough to cover all necessary costs such as rent, food, bills, and childcare expenses.

We urge that state officials find solutions to support restaurant workers, and all other workers, whose employment has been impacted. In the meantime we are asking our community that has supported and enjoyed our food at Nyum Bai to continue to support Nyum Bai's workers by helping us meet our financial needs during this difficult time. 

Hopefully we will be able to return and cook and serve for you once again.
