Katelyns New Smile

Katelyn is a wonderful seventeen year old with a bright future facing an uphill battle for her health. We are asking you to assist in this journey so that katelyn can eat, breathe, speak, and smile with comfort and confidence

Born with mosaic downs syndrome she has overcome many obstacles. She is now facing one of the largest. Katelyn is scheduled for orthognathic surgery to fix a large deformity in her jaw. This surgery will break her jaw In four places and allow them to straighten it so that it functions normally. Kate struggles to chew, has to sleep with a CPAP, speaks with a lisp, and has extreme jaw pain. This surgery will aid in all of these things. She has also been recently diagnosed with a lifelong esophageal condition and being able to recieve proper nutrition is vital for her health and future.

Katelyn is an honor student who works part time while going to school. She aspires to become a college writing professor She is an advocate and Ally for many causes. She is a musician, an artist, a big sister, and an all around great kid. Any donation to assist in reaching our surgery cost goal would be greatly appreciated as we have reached a place where we need help.
